Fees, etc.

As Miller makes his living exclusively by writing and presentations, Burden of Proof usually requests fees for his speeches and readings. Organizations that don't have a budget set aside for speakers sometimes defray the cost by selling tickets, which also can help with room-rental fees and refreshment expenses.

Burden of Proof charges half-fee for Miller's readings from his work, on the understanding that his books can be sold and autographed at the function. Again, of course, the fee can be defrayed by an admission charge or other audience contributions to the cause.
